Step back into the groove-filled ‘70s with the Skel-Tron, a retro-inspired envelope filter that delivers vintage funky auto-wah tones. The pedal produces a classic envelope filter quack, instantly transforming your guitar into a rhythmic, expressive powerhouse. It's sound is instantly recognizable as the quintessential psychedelic and funk envelope filter.
The Skel-Tron is engineered to capture the warm organic sounds of the golden era of funk, soul, and psychedelic rock, offering dynamic, touch-sensitive response that reacts to every nuance of your playing. Whether you’re laying down funk rhythms or exploring cosmic jams, the Skel-Tron delivers!
Its retro design features a striking vintage aesthetic, complete with bold graphic based on a sketch entitled “Skeleton Amid Roses” (c1900) drawn by Edmund J. Sullivan (1869-1933). The illustrators at UDV Pedals painstakingly converted the original black and white sketch into digital format and colorized each rose pedal and stem to bring this beautiful work of art to life in the 21st Century.
Key Features:
- The skeleton’s LED eyes light up and pulse when the effect is triggered, adding a dynamic visual element and providing visual feedback of the envelope response.
- The blue LED light indicates when the effect is on or off.
- Vintage-inspired envelope filter for tones reminiscent of classic rock’s most iconic jams.
- Responsive dynamics that react to your playing intensity.
- Smooth, quacky auto-wah perfect for funk, soul, and psychedelic rock.
- Highly responsive dynamics for funky sweeps and groovy textures.
- Vintage tone with reliable modern components sourced for quality and durability.
Controls:
- Level Knob: Controls the output volume.
- Peak Knob: Determines the strength (intensity) of the effect.
- Gain Knob: Boosts the sensitivity of the input signal and can increase envelope detection.
- Drive Switch: Controls the sweep direction of the pitch UP or DN (down). In Up mode, the red LED eyes light up when filter is triggered. In DN mode, the effect is reversed, the red LED eyes are on until the effect is triggered. The LED eyes are not only a unique and entertaining feature, it provides useful visual cues on the dynamics of the filter effect.
- Filter Switch: Low-pass (LP) removes high frequency and emphasizes the bass range. High-pass (HP) attenuates low frequency and emphasizes high frequency. Band-pass (BP) emphasizes midrange.
- Range Switch: "LO" provides better response to bass signal and emphasizes vowel-like sounds. "HI" responds better with guitar and emphasizes overtones. The “M” setting is a mid-setting that’s between HI and LO.

Reviews
Bought the skeltron after seeing a demo on Facebook. Needed to replace a mutron that was a little too distorted at the quack i needed. This pedal solved that with the gain and level control, the washboard sound is incredible with a compressor in front. Can get it much cleaner than other envelopes. Bonus, it also gave me a brand new swelling sound that is out of this world when i put it on my high gain lead channel on the DOWN mode. Got me funk and shred in one pedal, 11/10.
